Honeypot London Christmas Concert

Monday 10th December 2007

Photography by Olivia Shaw - http://www.oliviashawphotography.com

A town crier welcomed over 300 guests to St Luke’s Church in Chelsea on 10th December to
celebrate the festive season. Performances by IDMC gospel choir, St Paul’s Girls School and Thomas’s Kensington, were accompanied by trumpet fanfares, and a special reading by Du’aine Ledajo, Gold medalist and world class 400m athlete and Loredana, ex-Honeypot child. The reception at the Chelsea Gardener served champagne, mulled wine and children were delighted by the magic tricks of Darren Redd. Thank you to everybody who helped us raise over £30,000!

Honeypot Hampshire Carol Concert

Monday 3rd December 2007

The annual Carol Concert at Winchester Cathedral was a record breaking event, attracting nearly 600 people and raising more than £14,500. ‘Central Singers’, a 100 piece junior school choir from Chichester, sang like angels and readings were given by The Mayor of Winchester and Amy, a Honeypot child, which touched everyone’s hearts. The entertainment continued with ‘GASP’,Bath University’s gospel choir.

The evening was a wonderful success filled with Christmas spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening so special.

The Honeypot Hog Roast

Friday 31st August 2007

Photography by Olivia Shaw - http://www.oliviashawphotography.com

On Friday 31st August 400 Goodwood enthusiasts and Honeypot supporters were treated to a unique evening of rock n' roll under the stars in the grounds of a beautiful private home in Sussex.

We were joined by the legendary Joe Brown and the sensational soul band The Stax, featuring Sam Brown, who performed incredible sets throughout the night. Guests tucked into organic hogs on spits, had a flutter at the casino and even tried their luck on our competition bucking bronco!

We are thrilled to be able to announce the event raised an amazing £58,000 - a very big thank you to all of those who attended and supported the charity in so many different ways. Please click on the below link to see more photos from The Hog Roast 2007 http://www.honeypot.co.uk/HogRoast2007.htm

P. S. Thank you to Honeybuns who so kindly donated the delicious handmade flapjacks you received at the end of the night!

The Golf Tournament

Saturday and Sunday 2nd-3rd June 2007

“Really wonderful weekend. Great spending time with friends. Brilliantly organised by Honeypot, lovely food and atmosphere.” Guest 2007

Held at the stunning Four Seasons Resort at Terre Blanche in Provence, this year’s Honeypot Golf Tournament was a ground breaking success for the charity and raised an astonishing £95,000! Despite the UK experiencing better weather than the South of France our golfers made the most of the morning sunshine before the light showers in the afternoon – luckily for them we had some Honeypot umbrellas to hand!  The competition took place on the beautiful Le Château course over both days.

A HUGE thank you to all those who attended and gave so generously; I am sure you will agree that it was a very special weekend. Thank you also to all those who very kindly donated auction lots and prizes without which we would not have been able to raise so much for Honeypot. The Denim and Diamonds Ball
Thursday 8th March 2007

On Thursday 8th March, we staged the biggest night of our events calendar- ‘The Honeypot ‘Denim & Diamonds’ Ball, at the illustrious ‘Savoy’ hotel.  The gents scraped the bike oil from their 1960s Levi’s, and the ladies sported their finest Jewels, for an evening of fun, frolics, and of course most importantly… fundraising!

Overall the night managed to raise an incredible £260,000.  This will go a long way towards helping our work with children in desperate need of our support.

We would like to again thank everyone who kindly donated auction lots, attended the evening and gave so generously towards the charity.
