Honeypot Bowled Over by New Ambassador!

19 February 2008: Top Hampshire Cricketer, Billy Taylor visited Honeypot House today, and has signed up as a Volunteer Ambassador for Honeypot.

Billy, from Southampton, had a very happy childhood and wants to give something back to the community he grew up in by bringing joy to children who are not so fortunate. Today, Honeypot welcomed Billy formally at Honeypot House, and he then spent time meeting Honeypot children and playing cricket with them. He has set himself an initial target by undertaking a 4-day sponsored walk from Sussex to Hampshire and will be involved in many Honeypot activities in the future.

Please visit the below link to see Billy's recent interview with ITV Meridian: http://www.itvlocal.com/meridian/news/?&void=154783

His sponsored 4-day walk will start on 30th September 2008 at the Sussex ground near Brighton and cover nearly 90 miles to end up at The Rose Bowl in Southampton home to Hampshire Cricket on 3rd October 2008. You can sponsor Billy by visiting www.justgiving.com/billytaylor1

Honeypot Playbus receives a colourful Re-Spray!

The Honeypot Playbus was launched in its ‘blue’ colours in 2002 and is critical to our programme of long-term support that we offer each child. Honeypot is committed to enabling a child to visit the Playbus up to 3 times a year providing a safe environment in which to play.

Over the past 5 years there have been several scrapes and scratches to the bodywork which were in desperate need for repair. The playbus checked in for her re-spray in early June and we are thrilled to have her back on the road in true Honeypot colours!

A big thank you goes to a local company that very kindly funded her re-spray.
